Edwin Harper, President and CEO, Founder

As President and CEO, Ed oversees Magic Softworks' corporate financing strategy and business direction. In addition, he is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day functions.

Ed brings to Magic Softworks more than 30 years of experience in high-tech industries, where he has been involved in establishing some of the world’s leading network security companies. Harper has served as president and CEO of several technology companies, including Colorado Memory Systems, a computer storage company.

His extensive board experience includes serving for nearly 10 years on the board of directors for Network Associates, the world’s largest independent network security and management software company. During part of his Network Associates tenure, Harper served as chairman.

Ed is currently serving as a board member for several leading technology companies that include Avocent, a supplier of connectivity solutions for enterprise data centers, service providers and financial institutions worldwide; Ditech Communications, a global telecommunications equipment supplier for voice networks; and Verari Systems, a leading supplier of high-density, high-performance blade-based network servers

Ken Totura, EVP Sales and Marketing

Ken is responsible for all go-to-market functions of Magic Softworks. Named as an "Executive to Watch" by VARBusiness magazine, Ken is a seasoned veteran with 22 years of successful sales experience in organizations ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 technology companies, He brings to Magic Softworks extensive credentials in all facets of direct sales and channel management as a vendor, VAR and distributor.

Ken’s experience leading sales and channel organizations includes MX Logic, Vericept, Inacom, Intelligent Electronics, connecting Point, IBM and Bell Atlantic. He has consistently earned corporate President’s Club awards, recognized by Colorado’s Lt, Governor for community work in bridging communications between soldiers in the Gulf War and loved-ones stateside and channel industry accolades. Ken has been quoted in numerous industry publications regarding his expertise on channel management and managed services.

Andy Fanton, CTO, Founder

Andy’s software development experience spans more than 25 years including founding 3 start-ups prior to Magic Softworks. He developed device drivers and manufacturing control software at ComByte and PIM software at OneStep. He founded UltraCo in 1999 where he developed one of the leading MP3 player applications. Years of independent consulting culminated in the formation of NeoValent in 2001. As an independent consultant he has developed or managed the development of a wide variety of software solutions for many clients including Calaway Golf, Infineon, Polycom, United States Figure Skating Association and Raindance Communications. Andy has been listed as inventor on numerous patent applications including a Medication Monitoring System (6,421,650). Andy also possesses excellent skills in business development, contract negotiation and sales as evidenced by successes in those areas with UltraCo and NeoValent. His technical vision and expertise helps lead the Magic Backup product development.

Bill Lutton, COO, Founder

Bill has extensive software development and project management experience totaling over 30 years. He served in a number of first and second engineering management roles in his 19 years at Hewlett-Packard, overseeing the development of software platforms for the instrument/test division. He joined OneStep Software in 1996 and helped grow the company for its $10M sale to RioPort in 1999. Bill teamed up with Andy in 2001 and helped grow NeoValent into a successful custom development business. Not only is Bill skilled technically, but has proven his talent for business development and sales while at NeoValent. Bill is an expert in system architecture, Windows component design, and software development management.

Tony Rozga, Director of Engineering and Data Center Operations

Tony is a master software engineer with a wide variety of development and operating system experience spanning over 20 years which helps him lead the Magic Softworks development team and data center operations. Tony worked with Bill at RioPort and has been a key contributor on the NeoValent team for the past 6 years. His expertise includes GUI design and implementation, audio codecs and database implementations. He is also the best golfer any of us knows.
